Tactile by Casalgrande Padana is a collection of fully vitrified, full-body technical porcelain tiles. The modular elements that make up the collection provide visually impaired people with readily comprehensible information, warnings and directional guidance, which can be detected underfoot (through blisters and grooves) or through colour and luminance contrast (for partially-sighted people). These modules incorporate the base tactile codes (straight direction, stop/danger) and second-level codes providing information in situations requiring greater caution (90° mandatory turn, crossing/intersection, attention-service and cross with caution).
